The master bedroom has a modern en-suite with a walk-in shower, while the family bathroom offers both a walk-in shower and a luxurious corner bath—perfect after a day exploring the coastline.

Getting here by train

Lyngarth is easy to reach by rail, making it an excellent choice for guests who prefer to leave the car at home.

The nearest railway station is Nethertown, just over a mile from the bungalow. This is a request stop on the scenic Cumbrian Coast Line, with a limited timetable, so please check train times before you travel.

For more frequent services, St Bees Railway Station is approximately 3 miles away and offers regular connections along the Cumbrian Coast Line, linking with Carlisle, Whitehaven, Sellafield, Barrow-in-Furness and beyond.

The nearest mainline station is Carlisle, around an hour’s drive away, providing direct services from London, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham. From Carlisle, you can continue your journey on the picturesque Cumbrian Coast railway to St Bees or Nethertown.

If you’re arriving by train, please note that local bus services are very limited. We recommend pre-booking a local taxi to collect you from the station, and we’d be happy to recommend reliable local taxi companies before your arrival to help make your journey as smooth as possible.
